Midthunder is a citizen of Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribe. She was originally of The Navajo Nation of Shiprock in New Mexico. After spending most her childhood in Santa Fe (where she went to the Academy for Technology and the Classics as well as where her mother worked for a casting house) She returned to her home. Amber has Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both of them are part of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother has been adopted. Amber therefore has an unidentified mix of her ancestry. Prey features a large number of Native American actors, such as Dakota Beavers (who is Blackfeet and Comanche) and Jhane Meiers who has been helping Prey for years. Coco is the cute animal actress who plays Sarii is chosen because of the breed she is a rare one, that of the American Dingo. This breed is also referred to as the Carolina Dog and it's one of the oldest in existence.
TJ is sending a message throughout this film. The film narrates Amanda is his only love. (Although some of it could be about her daughter, should you study the film more). TJ confessed to his feelings for her, but she declined since she was in a relationship with Daniel. Jack then got married to Amanda. Emily then revealed the identity of Emily following Amanda's death. Since then, the two have become best friends. In the series finale they are married. Amanda kisses Wilf in the final moments. Wins the entire prize pot in one go.
